About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Head of Development and Alumni Relations to play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational management of a comprehensive centennial campaign. This mission-driven individual will lead the campaign from inception to completion, working closely with the Head of School, Board of Directors, alumni, and senior leadership. Responsibilities include developing and implementing the campaign plan, leading the execution of fundraising activities, and expanding the annual fund. The successful candidate will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of constituents, both nationally and internationally, and will have the opportunity to lead a team of development professionals. The ideal candidate for this role at The Company will have a strong background in fundraising, with experience in prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. They should be adept at building partnerships and collaborating across various campus departments, particularly with the Director of Communications, the Director of Parent Relations, and the Parents’ Association. The role also involves supporting the Campaign Committee, partnering with the Head of School on governance, and serving as a staff liaison to the External Affairs and Governance Committees of the Board of Directors. A deep commitment to the values and mission of the school, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills, are essential for this position.
