**The Role**
Were delighted to have been chosen by residents of a new development at Williamstown to provide a 24/7 on-site concierge service. This isnt your traditional concierge role - but the commitment to great service is!
Were supporting people with disabilities to live independently. The residents who chose us already have primary providers to assist with daily needs, such as personal care and enjoying the best of West-side living! Were there as a back-up, for example when two-people are needed to hoist.
Your daily activities will focus on supporting people to be independent at home & live the life they chose. This could include, supporting with personal care & hoisting or assisting to provide medical care such as diabetes care & ventilation support. It can also include daily errands such as collecting mail and parcels, making a cup of tea, picking up a dropped book, writing a letter, support to prep a meal or just having a quick chat.
You understand great client service, are keen to continue your work in the disability sector and ideally are described by your friends as a people person.

**To do a great job, youll need:**
* Strong background & experience in supporting people with disability
* Great customer service skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Available to work rotating shifts mornings, afternoons, nights, and overnights for both weekdays and weekends (but dont worry, well work with you regarding your availability and give you notice of the roster)
* Experience supporting people with a physical disability, including transfers/use of equipment and confident in hoisting, or willingness to learn (don't worry, well train you)
* Experience supporting clients who have a complex medical support need, and a willingness to learn new skills
* Experience in alternative communication methods and a willingness to learn individual communication needs
* Experience in Auslan would be highly advantageous though not essential
* Demonstrated experience to understand & follow professional care plans & routines
* To be willing to work with a care team approach and incorporate the guidance of professionals
* Excellent time management skills & ability to prioritise workload
* Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values.
