Sr. Web Developer in

Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).
**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding may require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD or other local base for badging and initial connection to the NMCI network. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible.Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
Essential Functions:
- Full-stack application development with both front-end and back-end development.
- Creation of highly modular and reusable components.
- Use different front-end technologies to build intuitive and responsive user Interfaces.
- Design and development of robust application tier and backend architecture using different technologies.
- Be able to develop AoA (Analysis of Alternatives) to provide the Pros, Cons and recommendations for selecting software for future projects.
- Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment Collaborating with and guiding the team on writing, building, and deployment of software.
- Following best design and development practices to ensure high quality of software.
- Design, build and maintain efficient, secure, reusable, and reliable code.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Working collaboratively with Agile Scrum development teams using tools such as Microsoft Teams, Team Foundation Server, Jira, .Git, Gitlab, etc.
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications utilizing ASP.NET, .Net Core/React, JSQuery, Python, Visual Studio, C# and other relevant Web development tools and software.
- Assist with cross training and mentoring newer team members.
- Participating in efforts to migrate on premises applications to AWS/GofCloud.
- Break down development tasks into increments and demo during the development once an increment is complete to increase visibility to customers.
- Create Backend database objects in databases such as Teradata (Vantage) and Oracle.
- Develop Korn Shell Scripts and execute SQL queries to verify data and troubleshoot issues. Develop software technical documentation including reviewing and providing input on requirements, design documents, and test plans.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
- Five years ASP.NET, .Net Core/React, (C#) and SQL experience are required.
- Experience with AWS, GovCloud, Arena, Nucleus, or similar Web development platforms and architecture.
- Experience in creating applications in a relational database environment.
- Be a team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desired:
- Hands on proficiency in the designing, developing, and implementing Web applications. Experience with the jQuery and Oracle PL/SQL is a plus.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; may substitute equivalent experience.
